About

The Berkshire Grown Vision

Berkshire Grown envisions a community where healthy farms define the open landscape, where a wide diversity of fresh, seasonal food and flowers continue to be readily available to everyone, and where we celebrate our agricultural bounty by buying from our neighboring family farms and savoring their distinctive Berkshire harvest.

Berkshire Grown Mission Statement

Berkshire Grown supports and promotes locally based agriculture as a vital part of a healthy Berkshire community, economy and landscape. Berkshire Grown pursues this mission by increasing public awareness of eating locally and healthily through education and outreach; by encouraging supportive agricultural programs and public policies; by establishing local food and farm networks; and by promoting the growing and marketing of locally grown foods.
