You already have the most profitable tool you’ll ever own – take your tax records and turn them into something that benefits you by planning for profit. Using management records, we’ll develop a plan for the year, in numbers, starting with our profit goal. Finally we’ll try to answer the question “Where does it all go?” by taking a deep dive into the sources and uses of cash that explain why money in the checkbook is not an indicator of profitability!
This workshop will use a case study approach to help participants understand the difference between tax records and management records, how to put those management records to work in building an annual budget, and then forecasting cash needs and uses for the coming year. When participants put this to work on their farm not only will they know where they’re going, but they’ll have a powerful communication tool that relays that information to the team and outside stakeholders alike.
