Berkshire Grown seeks an experienced fundraiser to join the team as Development Director. The Development Director will be a thought partner with the Executive Director and Board to envision immediate and long-term development strategies for the growing nonprofit organization. The ideal candidate will be a curious and creative thinker responsible for developing, implementing and measuring a successful and comprehensive fundraising program to support the local food system in the Berkshires. Program Manager for Farm and Food Business Members is a year-round 30 hour/ week salaried position that reports to the Executive Director. The Program Manager is the principal liaison between area farmers, local food producers, and Berkshire Grown.  As such, s/he maintains ongoing contact with farmers to assess their needs and interests in order to provide programs/services that are responsive to their needs.

Berkshire Grown is the primary advocate for farmers in Berkshire County, Berkshire Grown supports and promotes local agriculture as a vital part of the Berkshire community, economy, and landscape. This job requires residence within or close to Berkshire County, MA. While the Berkshire Grown staff follows a hybrid work model balancing in-office and work-from-home options, all staff members are expected to work as part of the team in the Great Barrington office at least 60% of their time. Berkshire Grown is hiring a Livestock Working Group Coordinator to facilitate a livestock working group based in the general Berkshire/ Taconic region. Livestock Working Group members include project stakeholders and regional livestock farmers, as well as other enterprises in the livestock supply chain. This position is a part of a three-year USDA-funded grant program overseen by Berkshire Agricultural Ventures, in partnership with Berkshire Grown, of which the first year is complete. Role of the Livestock Working Group Coordinator

The purpose of the Livestock Working Group is to improve communication between producers, processors, and service provider organizations in the region while identifying next steps for long-term solutions.  The Livestock Working Group Coordinator will manage and facilitate the Livestock Working Group, as well as value-chain development and opportunity research, as part of the Local Meat Processing Support. The Livestock Working Group Coordinator will serve as liaison between Berkshire Grown, Berkshire Agricultural Ventures, and project stakeholders, including for-profit, non-profit, and other organizations as a well as livestock farmers and other enterprises in the livestock supply chain.
