Partner Organization:

Growing the Future of Food in our Community
Investment * Resources * Collaboration

Berkshire Agricultural Ventures is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization that is working on the ground and investing in food producers in our local and regional communities. This organization connects farmers to consumers in innovative and creative ways, with new businesses like food hubs, regional processors and commercial kitchens that make fresh, healthy and local food available to more people.

BAV invests in safeguarding working farms, helps food-makers who add value, and assists food entrepreneurs who are striving to create and expand into new and emerging markets. To this end, BAV provides nimble financing and technical assistance for marketing and business development to food and farming entrepreneurs and local businesses to help them thrive in today’s challenging economic landscape.

Building upon their strong, regional partnerships, BAV aims to support farm and food businesses in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, the neighboring Hudson Valley in New York State, northwest Connecticut and other surrounding areas.
