Berkshire Grown began hosting the region’s first off-season farmers markets in 2009, when we organized the first Holiday Farmers Markets in response to the demand for more year-round access to locally-grown products. Community support has been tremendous and the markets have continued to grow annually. In 2015, the Great Barrington Markets expanded to include January and February dates and in 2019, to include March and April, lengthening the season for farmers and shoppers alike. These markets provide an opportunity for residents and visitors throughout Berkshire County to access local foods and products in the winter months and have become an essential source of off-season income for Berkshire farmers.
All markets feature locally-grown and produced foods, live music, lunch fare, and activities for children. Admission is always free and SNAP benefits are available at all markets.
Berkshire Grown Holiday and Winter Farmers Markets are grower/producer only markets. Click here for more information about applying.
