Develop a Business Plan with MDAR’s Tilling the Soil Course this Winter

MDAR’s TILLING THE SOIL OF OPPORTUNITY BUSINESS PLANNING COURSE for farmers still has a few openings left for this winter’s class in Amherst!

Thursday evenings 6:00 – 9:00 pm
Feb 2, 2017 through April 13, 2017 (no class March 30)
MDAR Amherst office, 101 University Drive, Amherst

 
This course is for existing farms, to help develop a business plan and improve decision making on the farm. The course instructor, who has years of experience working with farms, guides participants through the creation of a full business plan during 10 group sessions. The instructor visits each participant’s farm during the course and provides individualized assistance and confidential one-on-one financial planning. Includes expert guest speakers on topics that typically include marketing, legal, accounting, and new this year – succession planning.
